LONDON - To address the need for clear and in-depth information on issues associated with the development and use of retail payments, Payment System Advisors and Retail Banking Research are launching a series of seminars, supported by a separate self-study program.
The inaugural event, "Developing Effective Retail Payment Systems." will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, Oct. 20-22.
It is aimed at bankers, regulators and service providers who want to gain a better understanding of retail payment systems and product and technology developments. This knowledge will help them develop more effective strategies and policies and maximize the effectiveness and profitability of their products and services.
Each three-day seminar will examine the importance of payment systems to financial institutions, stakeholders and national economies. It will look at individual payment instruments, different delivery channels and technologies, as well as risk management and legal and regulatory issues. It will also address the reform of retail payment systems in developing economies.
