SALT LAKE CITY - Companion Systems was recently named second in both the Top 5 woman-owned and Top 5 diversity-owned businesses in Utah, and it was one of the top 500 woman-owned businesses in the United States on the Div500. The honors were bestowed by DiversityBusiness.com, which annually ranks woman- and diversity-owned businesses in the United States.
Companion Systems provides branded ATM surrounds, kiosks and enclosures for the financial services industry. Over the last three years, the company has experienced continual growth with a diverse workforce of 120 employees.
According to a news release, the Top 5 ranking represents Utah's top multicultural earners in sectors such as technology, manufacturing, food service and professional services.
Div500 lists the nation's top 500 woman-owned businesses, which range in annual revenue from $5.5 million to more than $1.2 billion, in technology, manufacturing, food service and professional-services fields.
"We are proud to be recognized among such a notable group of businesses," said Al Tiley, Companion Systems' president and chief executive. "Woman- and diversity-owned businesses represent a growing and thriving part of the Utah economy, and we're pleased that our success can contribute to it."
