Colleges turn student IDs into debit cards

WTOL in Toledoreports that while IDs have long been used for on-campus purchases, schools are now turning the IDs into debit cards that can be used anywhere.
USA Todayestimates the deals can generate up to $1 million in yearly revenue for the colleges. Debt cannot be accumulated on the card and as the ID has a picture on it, it reduces the likelihood of fraud.
