CoBank, based in Denver, Colorado, partnered with the American Indian College Fund to provide $300,000 in scholarships to Native American students over the next three years. It will offer 20 scholarships per year of $4,500 per scholarship, according to a press release.
All Native American students can apply, but preference will be given to those studying banking, finance and agriculture.
"CoBank is honored to partner with the College Fund to provide scholarships to deserving students. Higher education plays a vital role in securing a prosperous future for individuals, families and communities throughout the country — especially in rural America. We are excited about this new relationship and the opportunity to support underserved Native American students," Tom Halverson, president and CEO, CoBank, said in the release.
