Co-Op Network catching rays in Florida

December 19, 2001

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Co-Op Network, which in recent months has worked to expand its national network of no-fee ATM machines for credit union members, will add more than 200 Florida-based ATMs to its network, the Palm Beach Post reports.

Co-Op Network currently does not have any credit union members located in Palm Beach County in South Florida, where nine ATMs will be located. But eligible Co-Op members vacationing in the area are expected to use the service. The ATMs will be located at Kmart stores and selected gas stations.

The move comes less than a month after Co-Op Network and ISO Access Cash International reached an agreement that will bring at least 6,500 of Access Cash's 8,500 ATMs nationwide under the Co-Op banner.

Before that agreement was reached, Co-Op Network already had ATMs located in 42 states, primarily in the Western United States and Michigan. Nearly 800 credit unions belong to the network.
