VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Citizens Bank Guyana has selected Inetco Systems' BankLink and Vista LAN to eliminate its SNA/SDLC leased lines, providing savings in excess, according to a news release, of U.S. $250 per ATM per month.
The solution for CBG is transparent to both ATMs and the SNA host, allowing it to view and manage all ATMs as if they are SNA.
Inetco's BankLink eliminates the need for leased lines by transporting transaction traffic across a TCP/IP frame-relay network. BankLink also includes connectivity for TCP ATMs to its AS/400 host.
"Implementation of Inetco's solution was quick and smooth, due to the fact we had to make no changes to our ATMs or host," said Kwabina Griffith, manager MIS for Citizens Bank Guyana. "BankLink also provides us a way to connect our new IP ATMs to our SNA host, making our transition to an IP network seamless."
