Citizens Bank deploys video ATMs at Stop & Shop

Citizens Bank has replaced several of its in-store locations at Stop & Shop supermarkets in Massachusetts with video ATMs. With these ITMs, customers can chat with bankers remotely, according to a report by WCVB

These ITMs can handle 90% of traditional branch transactions and will provide video banking during normal banking hours Monday through Saturday.

"Throughout our markets where Citizens Virtual Assistant kiosks are available, we've seen an increase in repeat customers," James Uehlinger, director of retail banking for New England North, Citizens, said in the report. "Feedback from our customers has been that they find the locations convenient and the interactions innovative and helpful."
