The Australian: Our major gripe with our everyday bank accounts is the fees we are charged for "foreign" ATM transactions, according to research.
The research, commissioned by Citibank, shows that nearly seven in 10 people are dissatisfied with this aspect of their current transaction account. In response, that bank has joined rival Suncorp in offering an account that does not charge fees for foreign ATM transactions. In the case of Citibank, the offer is extended to all ATMs Australia-wide, and for Queensland-based Suncorp, only for ATM transactions outside Queensland.
