China Daily: Chinese travelers will be able to use renminbi-denominated bank cards issued by mainland banks in the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Singapore beginning on Jan. 10, the People's Bank of China announced.
That means bank cards issued by domestic banks with the "China Unionpay" logo will be accepted by ATMs and point-of-sale machines that display the logo in all three countries.
It is another step by Chinese banks to expand the use of renminbi cards overseas.
