JPMorgan Chase Home Lending has expanded its $5,000 Homebuyer Grant Program for additional Hispanic and Black Communities in 16 markets. This grant is designed to remove the barriers of down payments and closing costs to homeownership, according to a press release.
This grant is available for DreaMaker, Standard Agency, FHA and VA mortgages and can be used for closing costs, down payment or pints to reduce the interest rate. It is eligible for primary residences only.
In order to apply, buyers can contact a Chase Home Lending advisor or use Chase's Homebuyer Assistance Finder.
"We are proud to further expand the Chase Homebuyer Grant because it helps make the journey to homeownership a little bit easier," Cerita Battles, head of Community and Affordable Lending at Chase, said in the release. "This grant program also serves as a meaningful investment in places that have been historically disinvested — helping to stabilize and revitalize Black, Hispanic and Latino neighborhoods across the country."
