Charlotte bank retires brand, gets new name

The NewDominion Bank brand, once a popular community bank in Charlotte, North Carolina, has changed its name, and related signage, to Park National brand, the company that acquired the bank in a $76.4 million deal in 2018, according to a WOCTV9 report.

Park National initially allowed any bank it acquired to retain its original name, but the corporate brand strategy became confusing when the company had 12 subsidiaries, including NewDominion, all operating under different names, according to the report.
