Cellfie intros merchant payment acceptance solution in South Korea

Cellfie, a mobile payment solutions provider and a subsidiary of Ant & Bee Corp., has launched its SoftPOS merchant payment acceptance solution in South Korea through a partnership with KEB Hana Card. This solution turns Android smartphones into aPOS device to allow merchants to accept contactless Visa or Mastercard payments without additional hardware, according to a press release.

The Android phones only need a Wi-Fi connection or mobile data to process the payments. Cellfie protects all transactions with encryption technology, which is used by EMV chip cards.
