LONDON -- NCR Corporation will supply CashCard with 250 MCD ATMs to deploy in service stations and other locations, including shops and hotels. Around 30 of the 250 ATMs have already been installed; the remaining machines will be installed by the end of 2000. "Our ATMs have proven very popular," said Mark Mills, CEO for CashCard. "Early feedback shows consumers are willing to pay for convenience, especially when they receive money-off vouchers for products on sale within the outlets." CashCard intends to introduce a host of services beyond money. "In the future ATM users will be able to surf the 'Net, book cinema and plane tickets and pay bills. We're also approaching the Benefits Payments Agency to offer free payment of pensions and benefits through the ATM," Mills said. Bob Tramontano, vice president of marketing and new business development for NCR's Financial Solutions Group, said, "CashCard's move into service stations shows the huge potential for new ATM locations that will benefit both consumers and outlet owners."
