LOS ANGELES -- Cash Technologies, Inc. (Amex: TQ) says it has received a Notice of Allowance for its E-commerce Message Management Architecture (EMMA) patent application from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This concludes the approval process prior to final issuance of the patent.
The patent application, originally filed in 1998, covers the methods by which EMMA delivers financial and information services to self-service and other remote devices, including ATMs, POS terminals and wireless devices.
The company has filed other patent applications related to its technologies which are pending.
