Carreker becomes European sponsor for ATMIA, joins Australasia board

February 25, 2002

LONDON -- Carreker Corporation (NASDAQ: CANI) has become the newest full-year regional sponsor for Europe with the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA), the world's only international trade association servicing the whole range of ATM businesses. Carreker also has joined the board of the recently-established ATMIA Australasia organization.

European sponsorship includes participation in September's "Optimising ATMs in Europe" conference in Budapest, an on-line presence at ATMIA's Europe website, board representation, inclusion in ATMIA communications and various other branding opportunities. As well as joining the Australasia board as members, Carreker will exhibit and present at May's "Pacific ATMs" inaugural event in Sydney.

ATMIA's mission is to promote the ATM worldwide, and to facilitate the growth of the industry by providing to its membership a range of services from education, networking and lobbying to the provision of an online presence in the industry.

Michael Lee, International Director of ATMIA said, "Carreker is a sophisticated and accomplished international provider of software solutions and business consultancy for financial services, especially in the field of value-added automation - which is precisely the point at which our respective mission paths in the world cross. Our close relationship to Carreker should prove to be of huge importance in our outreach to the financial sector.  We are proud that an organisation of Carreker's prestige has chosen to sponsor our branding platforms to our mutual benefit."

John Carreker, managing director of Carreker's London-based International Operations, said, "As we have been associated with ATMIA Europe in a board membership capacity since August 2001, we have experienced ATMIA's professionalism first hand, and we are impressed with the influence they are having on the industry as a whole. We are proud to be extending our relationship with ATMIA further by becoming European sponsors and in effect, helping shape the future of the ATM industry. We are also delighted to be playing a part in the new Australasia chapter by participating in the Regional Board."

The European board member will be London-based Lance Walker, Carreker's director of Global Technology Solutions, International. Sydney-based Michael Israel, head of Business Development, Australasia will represent Carreker on the Australasia board.

Carreker offers integrated software and consulting services designed to improve external or internal cash handling and ATM operation infrastructures and commercial cash depository products. Carreker provides products and services to more than 200 clients in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia and South Africa, including more than 75 of the largest 100 banks in the U.S.  Headquartered in Dallas since 1978, Carreker also has offices in London, Toronto, and Sydney.
