Cardtronics, TCF broaden branding relationship

The companies' new agreement will triple the number of Cardtronics ATMs carrying the TCF brand.

TCF National Bank is partnering with Cardtronics Inc. in a branding relationship that will widen the regional FI's ATM footprint and offer its customers surcharge-free access to cash machines at approximately 200 Target stores across Minnesota, Michigan, and the city of Chicago.

Beginning immediately, Cardtronics will roll out the TCF brand at Target stores, with project completion expected later this year. TCF will add the new locations to its website, Cardtronics said.

The newly announced agreement expands on the partners' 2013 deal that added TCF branding to selected transit stations and Jewel-Osco supermarkets in Greater Chicago. TCF and Target are both headquartered in the Minneapolis area.

With the new deal, TCF will have branded approximately 300 Cardtronics-owned and -operated ATMs, the release said.

"TCF and Target are very important partners for Cardtronics, and we are proud to bring them together in a business relationship that will benefit everyone, including their respective customers," said David Dove, president of the North America business group at Cardtronics.
