HOUSTON - For the third consecutive year, Cardtronics has been included in the Houston Business Journal's Fast Tech 50, a list of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Houston that is based on year-to-year percentage growth of revenue.
Cardtronics, one of the nation's largest ATM operators, this year ranked 21st on the list. The company's revenues increased 53 percent, from $23.8 million in 2001 to $68.8 million in 2002.
Cardtronics also ranked second in total revenues of the Fast Tech 50. Its ranking in previous years was 39th in 2002 and 26th in 2001.
The top 18 companies on the list have been in business approximately five years while Cardtronics was established more than 14 years ago. This is especially noteworthy, said Cardtronics CEO Jack Antonini, because sustaining growth becomes more difficult the bigger a company becomes.
"We are honored to be included among this elite group of Houston businesses," Antonini said in a news release. "It is a testament to our quality of service and speaks to the hard work and determination of the entire Cardtronics team."
