Cardtronics enacts C-level changes in a move toward global leadership structure

July 7, 2016

Cardtronics PLC has announced plans for a transition to global leadership for the company's commercial, operational and technology functions.

According to a company press release, Cardtronics is making the following changes, effective immediately:

  • managing director Jonathan Simpson-Dent will take on a new role as chief commercial officer. Simpson-Dent, who joined Cardtronics Europe in 2013, will assume global responsibility for sales, product development, transaction growth, international expansion and marketing.
  • chief financial officer Edward H. West, who joined the company a year ago, will fill the combined role of CFO and chief operations officer. In addition to his existing duties, West will assume responsibility for global operational effectiveness and profitability.

David Dove, president of the North American Business Group, will leave Cardtronics upon the end of his contract with the company later this year. In the meantime, Dove will assist with the transition to the new global leadership structure.

"Establishing global leadership across our commercial, operational and technology functions reflects our evolution into a global growth company," Cardtronics CEO Steve Rathgaber said in the press release. "I look forward to working with Jonathan and Ed in their expanded global roles to position Cardtronics for ongoing and future success.

"David has made significant contributions to the success of Cardtronics. He's had a tremendous impact on our company and I'm grateful to David for leaving Cardtronics well-positioned for the next phase of our global growth."
