Cards gain popularity in U.K.

Trintech:Recent figures from the United Kingdom confirm the popularity of plastic cards as a consumer payment option, while showing that cashless payments volume is growing. Debit cards accounted for 65 percent of plastic card payments in 2004, suggesting that U.K. consumers are funding everyday purchases with money they already have, instead of using credit cards.
