Manchester Evening News: ATM operator Cardpoint is poised to buy rival group Moneybox in a £90 million (U.S. $158.5 million) deal.
Following market speculation, Lancashire, England-based Cardpoint issued a statement stating that it is in advanced talks with Moneybox about a possible cash offer. But sources close to the deal said the takeover could be completed as early as tomorrow. If the deal goes through, Cardpoint would be the United Kingdom's largest independent ATM operator.
In late June, Moneybox announced strong second-quarter ATM contract sales growth in the U.K. and Europe.
