Canadian ATM company takes new name

TORONTO -- Threshold Electronics Limited, a provider of ATM services and transaction processing, has taken a new name, Threshold Financial Technologies Inc.

Matthew McIver, the company's president, said in a news release, "We believe our new name and look strongly reflect the company's focus, reaffirming our commitment to delivering
best-in-class services and state-of-the-art solutions to the financial services and retail markets."

Founded in 1997, Threshold's client list includes ING Bank, CS CO-OP and Shoppers Drug Mart. Threshold also owns and operates a nationwide network of some 1,250 ATMs branded "Laser Cash," making it one of Canada's largest ATM operators.

According to the release, Threshold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Versent Corporation, a privately owned Canadian company with revenues exceeding $62 million and more than 800 employees throughout North America.
