Cairo Amman Bank to offer multi channel access to their customers

 

 

 

Dublin, 15th September 2004 – CR2, a global provider of channel banking, ATM and card payment solutions, have today announced that Cairo Amman Bank in Jordan have selected the CR2 BankWorld ATM, Internet, Mobile and IVR solutions to provide a multi channel banking platform to add to and enhance its focus on customer delivery.

 

The project has already gone live with the rollout of the BankWorld ATM Channel, allowing Cairo Amman Bank to take immediate advantage of the ATM control and management provided for by the ATM solution.

 

By adopting a multi channel and Channel Management strategy, using BankWorld Channel Manager, Cairo Amman Bank will be able to securely and transparently integrate and manage the channels through which banking services are delivered. The bank is focussing on the provision of its broad range of services to customers in both Jordan and Palestine.

 

"Cairo Amman were looking for a flexible and reliable solution with Arabic language capabilities. With CR2's BankWorld solution, the bank will offer the best of breed services across ATM, Internet, mobile and other channels", said Cian Kinsella, CEO, CR2. "These will be seamlessly integrated into their back office systems in Jordan and the West Bank, allowing customers to access accounts in either country via any channel."

 

The largestRetailbank in Jordan and Palestine with a growing network and customer base, Cairo Amman Bank will use the BankWorld ATM solution integrated with their existing Oracle database to immediately provide services to the customer base. "By implementing the CR2 solution, CAB customers can use the same ID across the different channels. They can also manage all accounts from a single contact as part of our CRM service. This will have the same look and feel as all other interaction points," saidJamal Habahbeh,  Head of e-services. "Coupled with the addition of new channels such as Internet, SMS, mobile and phone banking, Cairo Amman Bank will further enhance its position in the Middle East as a progressive and competitive bank".

The first channel to launch was ATM banking which went live at the beginning of September. SMS and mobile banking, Internet and phone banking are now being rolled out. CAB will also be issuing Visa Electron debit cards to both existing and new customers. This will be provided through the CR2 CardWorld Issuer and Producer solutions whichwill allow the bank to physically produce the cards and PIN mailers, as well as other items in relation to card production. CAB will also will be acquiring VISA, MC and AMEX cards.
