BS/2 surveillance equipment helps catch Latvian card data thieves
April 7, 2010
Three would-be ATM data thieves were apprehended in Riga, Latvia, thanks in part to BS/2 surveillance equipment installed on the planned victim's ATMs.
According to a BS/2 press release, the criminals — two Estonians and a Bulgarian — were caught attempting to install card data-capture equipment on an Estonian bank's ATMs. BS/2 remote monitoring solutions and video capture equipment helped police identify and find the criminals, who are suspected in similar crimes in Estonia. A fourth suspect remains at large.
