April 7, 2011

BS/2, which provides hardware and software services for banks and retailers, recently announced that it has completed implementation of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V3 recommendations for the company's IT operations.

ITIL gives detailed descriptions of a number of important IT practices and provides comprehensive checklists, tasks and procedures that any IT organization can tailor to its needs.

In addition, BS/2 also has completed implementation of Standard ISO 20000 for service management. This ensures an integrated approach to an effective service provision that meets client's requirements.

"The awarding of the ISO 20000 certificate proves that the hardware and software-maintenance support services for BS/2 meet the highest requirements for creation of the optimum technological services management system as well as its installation, implementation, monitoring and maintenance practices," said company officials.

Igne Tumaite, the company's head of marketing, added: "The implementation of the standard confirms that the hardware and software maintenance and support services provided by BS/2 are of the highest quality."

BS/2 is based in Vilnius, Lithuania.
