British government agrees to ATM-fees summit

Guardian Unlimited: The British government recently bowed to pressure from campaigners and announced it would hold a cash machine summit to discuss the explosion of ATMs that charge for withdrawals. A Treasury committee report says consumers were charged £140 million (U.S. $243.9 million) a year to take out their own money.
