BPC-USA, a provider of Open System e-payment solutions for the North American financial industry, has announced the availability of a pre-packaged payment switch. The solution combines BPC SmartSwitch software with the HP Integrity NonStop platform.
The integrated solution meets the needs of financial institutions, local ISOs, retailers and merchant processors, the company said in its product announcement. Across all channels, the secure and highly scalable SmartSwitch manages all authorization requirements, including authorization routing, interface support and stand-in authorization.
The solution's rules-driven configuration allows organizations to rapidly optimize authorization routing, switching, verifications and usage. SmartSwitch also provides an online interface to link external devices — such as ATMs and POS terminals, to the Internet and mobile payment systems, and to route transaction data to issuers.
The HP Integrity NonStop server is the platform of choice for many FIs, local ISOs, retailers and merchant processors who require a fault-tolerant environment within their e-payments infrastructure. Working together, BPC and HP have helped organizations successfully replace their legacy infrastructure with BPC solutions running on HP Integrity NonStop servers.
"As part of our long-term and extensive collaboration with HP, we have created a proven and pre-configured solution to enable the local financial companies to leverage their payment switch," said Marc Solomon, senior vice president for North American sales and managing director of BPC-USA. "SmartSwitch on HP Integrity NonStop servers brings a range of advantages, including high performance, configurable authorization, while also reducing migration risks and lowering acquisition, deployment and operating costs."
