Boost Mobile intros digital checking account

Boost Mobile, a wireless carrier, has launched OmniMoney, a no-fee digital checking account. Customers can deposit funds into the account and access a digital and physical debit card. They can also deposit cash in select Boost Mobile stores, according to a press release.

Other features include:

  • Free remittances to Mexico up to $1,000 per month.
  • No credit check.
  • No minimum balance requirements or monthly fees.

"We're looking to provide basic services for historically excluded communities — where 60 million Americans are underbanked1," Stephen Stokols, head of Boost Mobile, said in the release. "Not only do Boost Mobile customers have access to low-cost unlimited wireless services, but now they are empowered to take control of their finances with new tools through the OmniMoney app."
