The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Pinal County, Arizona, has been training law enforcement on the "Raven's Challenge," a training exercise that teaches officers how to deal with bombs in ATMs, which officials say is an emerging threat, according to a reporton Fox10Phoenix.
ATMs are prime targets for criminals, according to the American Bankers Association, which is why the association has a comprehensive reporton ATM explosive attacks and methods criminals use to breach these cash-dispensing machines.
According to the association, ATM bombing threats are up 400% in recent years across the country.
