Boston Herald: Bank of America will attempt to switch 2 million former Fleet Bank accounts across New England to new computer systems this weekend. The changeover has involved 900,000 hours of computer programming and 860,000 hours of staff training. For 40,000 customers with two accounts, this weekend marks the beginning of what is expected to be a five-week period when they will not be able to access their second account using their ATM cards, automated phone banking or the Internet.
