BMO Harris Bank to reduce fees for consumers, businesses

July 8, 2022

BMO Harris Bank is eliminating non-sufficient funds and overdraft transfer fees. In addition, the bank will cut overall overdraft fees to $15 per occurrence, starting this fall, according to a press release.

Last year, BMO also reduced the amount of overdraft and NSF charges a customer could incur to three per day. The NSF fees will be eliminated beginning on Aug. 23 and transfer fees on July 12.

"Our latest fee changes mark another significant milestone for BMO in our journey to empower customers to achieve their financial goals and to make real financial progress," Paul Dilda, head of consumer strategy for BMO Harris Bank, said in the release. "Given the current economic climate, we know it is more important than ever to help our consumer and small business customers work toward their financial goals."
