Bitcoin Bancorp to deploy 200 bitcoin ATMs in Texas

Bitcoin Bancorp plans to deploy up to 200 bitcoin ATMs in Texas. It selected Texas due to its pro crypto policies and lack of personal income and capital gains taxes, according to a press release.

The deployment will begin in the first quarter of 2026. The bitcoin ATMs will all be licensed.

"Texas represents a strategically important market to penetrate for the next phase of the Company's growth. We are transitioning from the planning stage to the execution stage very soon," Eric Noveshen, director of Bitcoin Bancorp, said in the release. "Agreements are in place that could provide for Bitcoin Bancorp to achieve an accelerated level of growth of the company's revenue over the coming year."

Bitcoin Bancorp plans to add additional features to its ATMs such as stablecoin services and digital-asset payments.

"We believe that expanding our licensed Bitcoin ATM network is foundational to executing our long-term vision," Noveshen said in the release. "Our focus remains on compliant growth, infrastructure scalability, and delivering decentralized financial tools in accessible, real-world settings."

This comes amid other deployments such asRoyal Farms installing ATMsacross its footprint of retail locations. However, there is still concern over bitcoin ATM scamsacross the U.S.
