A video, which first appeared Thursday on Reddit, shows a Bitcoin ATM spewing cash at London's Bond Street tube station.
In the 20-second video, a security guard is waving away befuddled onlookers as the ATM sprays cash in and around a duffel bag on the ground near the machine. "Where can I get one of these?," says a passerby while a man with his hands in his pockets uses his feet to sweep the scattered notes into a pile near the overflowing duffel bag.
It is not clear whether the incident was due to a malfunction or a hack of the machine. An ATM hack known as "jackpotting" has been on the rise. In the hack, malicious code or hardware causes an ATM to go haywire and pay out wads of cash like a slot machine.
