Bitcoin ATM installations dropped in May, with only 202 deployments. However, the number shot up this month, with 817 installations in the first five days of June alone, according to a report by Coin Telegraph.
Geopolitical tensions as well as uncertainty around cryptocurrency regulations largely caused this slowdown in May. Bitcoin ATM installations reached 1,971 installations in the month of December, but have gradually slowed down in 2022.
The U.S. currently has 87.9% of the 37,826 cryptocurrency ATMs worldwide.
