Barclays to invest in India

Datamonitor: United Kingdom-based Barclays plans to invest $70 million in India over two years to grow its corporate banking business. The move is part of the bank's strategy for international expansion. Initially the corporate banking business will operate out of Mumbai, but the bank said that it is in talks with the Reserve Bank of India for opening branches in other locations.
