Banks ink deal with Wausau for digital transactions solution

MOSINEE, Wis. - Texas-based PlainsCapital Bank and Union Federal Bank have both signed on with Wausau Financial Systems for digital transaction solutions, according to a news release.

PlainsCapital Bank

PlainsCapital Bank inked a deal for Wausau's DigitalDeposit solution.

DigitalDeposit is a remote deposit-imaging and transmittal application used by commercial depositors and/or depositing correspondent banks. Commercial depositors will use the application to capture and transmit error-free, balanced and completed check deposits from their own sites or offices. Correspondent banks will use it to electronically send image cash letters.

Union Federal Bank

Union Federal Bank will implement WFS' DigitalLockbox to remotely capture lockbox payments. DigitalLockbox will allow UFB to provide clients with a distributed lockbox-capture and processing solution, including capture of check-only, check and stub, or check and correspondence transactions.

DigitalLockbox provides merchant capture of drop-box or drop-off payments, as well as the capture of back-office payments, like payments at a walk-up window, grocery store or doctor's office. Utilizing a desktop or tabletop scanner, corporate clients capture checks, documents, coupons, correspondence, etc. and transmit to the captures WFS' ImageRPS for further processing and deposits.

Remote capture product suite debut

WFS will debut its suite of remote capture products in Orlando at BAI Transpay May 3-5 at booth number 555.

The Digital Acceptance Suite is an end-to-end and fully supported suite of remote capture solutions. By providing the required back-end control, processing, clearing and settlement, an organization will benefit in terms of improved operational efficiencies, transaction-processing automation, reduced costs and the ability to reallocate back-office staffing to other areas.
