A glitch in the Bank of Ireland's app and website allowed customers to withdraw funds at an ATM that they didn't have. Customers could transfer up to $1,090.20 to a digital account and then withdraw it at an ATM, even if they didn't have enough money in their accounts, according to a report by CNN.

The bank's website struggled to keep up with traffic of people who tried to exploit this glitch, which in turn kept some customers from accessing their accounts.

The bank apologized for the incident but stated that funds transferred and withdrawn, "over normal limits… will be debited from their account."

Customers took to social media to share their frustration over not being able to access their accounts.
