BankAtlantic issues unembossed instant-issued debit cards

BankAtlantic, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based financial institution, is issuing customers unembossed instant-issue debit cards after signing an agreement with Dynamic Card Solutions.

BankAtlantic's 99 branches have begun issuing personalized, unembossed MasterCard debit cards to new and existing customers after installing Dynamic Card Solutions' flat card printer and CardWizard software, both companies said Tuesday.

The machine and software manufacture a card in two minutes for new and existing customers, according to a spokesman for Dynamic Card Solutions, an Englewood, Colo.-based company that also is a provider of instant-issue Visa debit cards.

The new agreement further cements the relationship between BankAtlantic and Dynamic Card Solutions. The two companies first worked together in 2006. At the time, Dynamic Card Solutions implemented an instant-issue program, enabling Bank Atlantic employees to issue embossed MasterCard debit cards.
