Bloomberg.com: Irish police are hunting thieves, dubbed "The Hole in the Wall Gang," who have tried to steal ATMs throughout Ireland's southeast by using an excavator to rip them from their mountings. The fourth such raid in about five weeks was foiled on Aug. 4 at a Bank of Ireland branch in Borris, County Carlow. Thieves have been successful once, stealing an ATM from a Bank of Ireland branch in the port of Rosslare on June 19. Bank of Ireland says it is "looking to increase security measures' in its more remote branches. As a short-term measure, it will remove the cash from ATMs at remote sites after closing time.
