Bank of America has selected Rita Sola Cook to serve as president of its Chicago businesses. In her role, she will use the bank's resources to tackle social issues, improve economic opportunity and build stronger communities, according to a press release.
Cook has served at Bank of America since 1997, most recently as division executive for the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions of The Private Bank. Prior to joining Bank of America, she served in various roles in Global Commercial Banking.
"Since joining Bank of America more than 20 years ago, Rita has held various leadership positions and established deep relationships with teammates, clients, and the Chicago community," Brian Moynihan, chairman and CEO, Bank of America, said in the release. "Rita is perfectly positioned to build upon the legacy and impact that Paul has made in his three decades with Bank of America. I thank Paul for his leadership and wish him the very best in his future endeavors."
