Bank of America names president of Asheville, North Carolina area

Bank of America recently named David Dowd as president of Asheville, North Carolina. In this role, he will lead the bank's eight lines of business in the region, according to a press release.

Dowd was previously Asheville market executive at Bank of America. He is currently involved in a variety of nonprofits in the area including United Way of Asheville-Buncombe County, MANNA Foodbank, Habitat for Humanity and others.

"During his career at Bank of America, David has established deep relationships with teammates, clients and the Asheville community to deliver responsible growth," Brian Moynihan, chairman and CEO, Bank of America, said in the release. "He is well positioned to continue to uphold our company's commitment to the region and deliver the full breadth of Bank of America's capabilities to help our local clients improve their financial lives."
