Bank of America rewarded a $500,000 grant to the Tampa Museum of Art and Tampa Theatre. It will give each organization $250,000, according to a press release.
The Tampa Museum of Art will use it to expand its campus with a crystalline four-story building and the Tampa Theatre will restore its facility and offer expanded education.
"Bank of America is one of Tampa Theatre's longest-standing partners, providing generous support that honors our mission of building community through extraordinary entertainment in an iconic landmark," John Bell, president and CEO, Tampa Theatre, said in the release. "This leadership gift to the Second Century Campaign will support the restoration, expansion and transformation of this treasured historic landmark, building community here for decades to come. We are grateful for Bank of America's support of this transformative and innovative project."
