Bank of America has selected 16 institutions for grants as part of its Art Conservation Project. The grants help conserve paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, archeological artifacts and more, according to a press release.

Some of the projects include:

  • "The Blinding of Samson" by Rembrandt Harensz Rijin at Stadel Museum in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • "The Henriot Family" by Pierre-Auguste Renoir at The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia.
  • Triptych at the Rothko Chapel in Houston.

"Art reflects the creativity, ingenuity and history of the people who created these works — and like everything, art is vulnerable to the passage of time," Brian Siegel, global arts, culture and heritage executive at Bank of America, said in the release. "Together with some of the world's finest cultural institutions, we can help preserve these works for future generations."
