Bank of America has given a $500,000 grant to FIND Regional Food Bank based in Indio, California. It will use the funds to complete its 40,000-square-foot warehouse within its Food Security Campus, according to a press release.

The warehouse will store fresh produce with a sustainable roof top solar array. Bank of America has supported this food bank in other ways over the years, with nearly $200,000 in grants over the last five years.

This food bank will serve the nearly 11% of Inland Empire residents who experience food insecurity.

"We are incredibly grateful to Bank of America for their generous support of FIND Regional Food Bank," Debbie Espinosa, president and CEO of FIND Regional Food Bank, said in the release. "This grant not only completes our capital campaign for our new warehouse and Workforce Development Training Center, but it also strengthens our ability to provide fresh food, educational programs, and critical disaster-resilient infrastructure to the communities we serve. With this support, we can continue to meet rising demand to serve the over 100 nonprofit community organizations, and ensure that every person in need across our region has access to nutritious food and the resources to build a healthier, more stable future."
