Bank of America appointed Jonathan Matessino to serve as president for New Orleans and Baton Rouge. He will handle the bank's resources through its eight lines of business to businesses and individuals in the region, according to a press release.

"Jonathan has established deep relationships with teammates and clients in the Louisiana community and personifies Bank of America's commitment to stakeholder service," Brian Moynihan, chairman and CEO, Bank of America, said in the release. "He is well positioned to grow our presence in New Orleans and Baton Rouge and deliver the full breadth of Bank of America's capabilities to help our local clients improve their financial lives."
This is part of the bank's planned expansion into new markets, including New Orleans. It plans to launch its first financial centers in New Orleans in 2025, which will offer one-on-one financial assistance to clients.

"Our goal is to continue to connect clients with financial specialists and deliver unique experiences focused on advice, education and best-in-class digital solutions that are tailored to meet the needs of each community and client."
