Bank Independent selects SilverLake core processing

April 26, 2013

Jack Henry & Assoc. Inc. has announced that its banking division will provide the SilverLake core processing platform for enterprise-wide banking automation at Bank Independent. The solution will be implemented on an outsourced basis for the Alabama-based FI, which operates 27 branches and holds more than $1.2 billion in assets.

Bank Independent president Macke Mauldin said the FI had conducted a year-long review of core processing system platforms before selecting SilverLake. "Bank Independent's team selected Jack Henry's SilverLake platform as the best fit for the needs of our growing bank," said Mauldin.

"We believe that Jack Henry's core system and complementary products will help us provide our customers with the most efficient banking experience and cutting-edge services for years to come ... [W]e feel that the level of customer service we have received from the banking professionals at Jack Henry aligns perfectly with what Bank Independent has offered our customers for more than 66 years."

"As we were getting to know this bank, it became very evident early in the evaluation process that Bank Independent wants a true technology partner and not just a technology provider," said Stan Viner, general manager of sales for Jack Henry Banking. "We are excited about the opportunity to support this bank's mission-critical transaction processing, business process automation, and customer and business data management with our technology."

From its headquarters in Monett, Mo., Jack Henry Banking serves more than 1,300 banks as a single source for integrated, enterprise-wide automation and as a single point of contact and support, the company said.
