Bakkt appoints chief accounting officer

Bakkt Holdings Inc., a digital asset platform, has appointed Chip Goodroe as chief accounting officer. Prior to joining Bakkt, Goodroe served as senior manager with Grant Thorton LLP on auditing and accounting, according to a press release.

In the role, Goodroe will report to CFO Karen Alexander and will lead accounting, including SEC and regulatory reporting.

"I'm pleased to welcome Chip to the team and into the role of chief accounting officer," Alexander said in the release. "He is a great fit for Bakkt given his deep accounting expertise across technology and cryptocurrency."
