Back-to-back EFTA meetings cover prepaid products, effects of debit settlement

NEW YORK -- Attendees of "Future Debit: The Post-Settlement Landscape," an Oct. 1 meeting presented by the Electronic Funds Transfer Association's (EFTA) Electronic Commerce Payments Council at The Plaza in New York may also want to attend "Prepaid Cards: Currency of the 21st Century" on Oct. 2 at the nearby offices of Citigroup.

Presentations at the Oct. 2 prepaid meeting will include: "Is the Patriot Act the Big Chill for Prepaid Cards?," "Smart Fare Payments: The Train Has Arrived," "Payroll Cards and the Unbanked" and "What Processors Know About Prepaid That the Rest of Us Don't." EFTA is offering a discount of $200 on combined registration fees for members and non-members who attend both events. An additional discount is available for those who register before Sept. 17.

EFTA has negotiated a conference rate of $269 per night at The Plaza, which is the conference hotel for both meetings. Attendees can make their reservations directly by calling The Plaza at 800-441-1414 or 800-759-3000 before Sept. 10 and mentioning EFTA.
