Axis intros security camera 'ideal' for ATM settings

Swedish security solutions provider Axis has introduced new entries to its Axis P12 Network Camera Series and Axis F Series, including very small, affordably priced indoor modular camera units that blend in with their environment, according to a press release.

Axis P1254 Network Camera

The P1254 sensor unit features a bullet shape with a small, cylindrical form and a base plate smaller than the palm of a hand.

The camera is ideal for use in stores, kiosks, hotels, banks and offices. The sensor unit offers a 102° horizontal field of view.

Axis P1264 Network Camera

The P1264 sensor unit features a single pinhole lens and is ideal for installation in limited spaces such ATM vestibules and ticket, vending and health monitoring kiosks.

The sensor unit provides a 57° horizontal field of view.

Axis F Series

The P1254 and P1264 sensor units are sold separately as the Axis F1004 Bullet Sensor Unit and the Axis F1004 Pinhole Sensor Unit, respectively.

According to the release, both sensor units are ideal for use with Axis F34 and F44 Main Units that support simultaneous video streaming from four sensor units. 

​Both camera models deliver HDTV 720p video and offer improved image quality in low and varying lighting conditions, as well as enhanced video analytics capability and a more attractive price point, the release said.

The cameras support Axis Zipstream compression technology for lower bandwidth and storage requirements, and also have a built-in microSD card slot for local storage of video recordings. The units are powered via Ethernet.
