Avaya to support VTMs in China

March 28, 2013

Avaya, a provider of communications solutions, has announced that the company has been selected to provide video conferencing and contact center technologies and expertise for GRG Banking video teller machines in the China market.

The Avaya solution will allow bank customers to communicate with customer service agents via high-definition Scopia video from Radvision, an Avaya company. The integration of Avaya contact center technologies into the VTMs will help ensure that the video calls are routed to the appropriate agent for each customer's request. If needed, customer service agents can initiate multi-party video conferences with colleagues and experts to resolve a customer issue.

"VTMs will help banks to greatly enrich customer services, and more effectively expand business," said John Wang, Avaya managing director for Greater China. "It will also result in closer integration between customer contact centers and core businesses of banks."

Wang said that VTMs can play an important role in transforming contact centers from cost centers to profit centers while offering consumers more convenient services.
