Authorities looking for suspect in ATM saw attack

Authorities in Louisiana are on the lookout for a man who allegedly used a saw to attempt to break into an ATM in LaPlace, Louisiana. Police believe this man, 42 year old Alfred Cobb has been involved in multiple similar attacks in Louisiana, according to a report by WBRZ.

During the LaPlace incident, the culprit was unable to steal any cash, but in another incident at a Family Dollar location, a group was able to steal more than $3,000 from an ATM. There has been a string of similar ATM thefts across the area in recent months, including at one credit union. Police made one arrest in September, but have not revealed the culprits identity.

Cobb previously was convicted of armed robbery and is on probation. The investigation is ongoing.
